prairie Shores Bronzeville
The Next Chapter
Prairie Shores is a 1,675 unit community located less than half a mile from both Lake Michigan and Chicago’s flourishing South Loop. The Property sits on 20 acres of land and was originally developed from 1957-1961 by Draper and Kramer.
Prairie Shores residents enjoy its central and convenient location to local job centers, schools, entertainment options and access to transit. The two largest employers for the Property are the Illinois Institute of Technology and Mercy Hospital, both of which are within walking distance.
Commuters can travel downtown or to Hyde Park in under 15 minutes. Rounding out the draw for the submarket are its many attractions including Lake Michigan, Burnham Park/31st Street Beach, and the Museum Campus which includes the Field Museum, Soldier Field, the Planetarium and the Shedd Aquarium.
Planned renovations are rooted in amplifying the strong community that resides at Prairie Shores. Renovation Scope includes a new construction, stand alone clubhouse building, interior unit renovations, corridor and lobby refresh, elevator modernization, and landscaping.
The marketing team at Golub with the assistance of Upshift led the rebranding and identity of the building. While we kept the name which is deeply rooted in the history of Bronzeville we updated the logo and branding to reflect The New Chapter of Prairie Shores.
